Sony IP PTZ Conference Camera with 12x Zoom – SRG-X120
The Sony SRG-X120 is a discontinued IP PTZ camera for conference rooms, classrooms and live streaming setups. It offers 12x optical zoom, HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs, and NDI|HX capability with a licence sold separately. Procure.ae can confirm current availability of the Sony SRG-X120 across the UAE.
The SRG-X120 uses a 1/2.5-type Exmor R CMOS sensor with approximately 8.5 megapixels effective and a 12x optical zoom, with a focal length of 4.4 to 52.8 mm. It offers 4K streaming output with an optional 4K license, and HD output over 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP at up to 1920 x 1080. Pan spans ±170 degrees and tilt runs from +90 to -20 degrees, with pan speed up to 300 degrees per second. It supports three multi-streams to up to five clients.
The SRG-X120 suits rooms that need an IP PTZ camera with NDI|HX and a choice of HD or 4K streaming. It accepts VISCA over IP and VISCA RS-422 control, with 256 CGI presets or 100 VISCA presets. It takes DC 12 V or PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at compliant) and mounts to a ceiling with the supplied brackets. Because the model is discontinued, confirm current availability before specifying it for a project.

Questions
Can’t find your answer? Ask on WhatsApp
Does the Sony SRG-X120 support 4K?
Yes, with an optional 4K license. HD output at up to 1920 x 1080 is available without it. Procure.ae can confirm current availability and recommend a current model for 4K needs.
Does the SRG-X120 work with NDI?
Yes, but NDI|HX capability requires a licence sold separately from the camera. Include the licence in the order when planning an NDI workflow. Once the licence is in place, NDI|HX can be used alongside the camera's other IP streaming options.
How many clients can the SRG-X120 stream to?
It supports up to five clients and three multi-streams at the same time. IP streams run at bitrates from 512 Kbps to 50 Mbps, with a maximum frame rate of 60 fps in H.264 and H.265.
Can the SRG-X120 be controlled over IP?
Yes. It supports VISCA over IP and VISCA RS-422, with HTTP and HTTPS access. Up to 256 preset positions are available over CGI, or 100 presets over VISCA. An IR remote commander is supplied in the box for local control.
How is the SRG-X120 mounted and powered?
It mounts to a ceiling with the supplied ceiling brackets and wire rope. It runs on DC 12 V (10.8 to 13.2 V) or PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at compliant), and draws up to 25.5 W.
