SonySony Ceiling Microphone Array – MAS-A100
The Sony MAS-A100 is a ceiling microphone array for meeting rooms and conference spaces. It uses beamforming, feedback reduction and automatic gain control, outputs Dante and AES67 audio, and draws power over Ethernet (PoE) at 9 W typical. Procure.ae supplies the Sony MAS-A100 across the UAE.
The MAS-A100 uses beamforming to pick up speech across the room, with automatic gain control and a feedback reducer rated by the manufacturer at up to 32 dB. Noise reduction is rated at up to 24 dB, and a noise gate and automatic calibration with a test signal help the array adapt to each room. Audio leaves the unit as two Dante channels at 48 kHz and 24-bit, and AES67 is also listed as an audio interface. The frequency response runs from 100 Hz to 10 kHz.
Mount the array with the supplied ceiling bracket and installation template, and connect it to the network with Cat5e UTP cable or higher. It is powered by Power over Ethernet (Class 0), so no separate power supply is needed. The manufacturer lists an API for external control systems and browser control through Google Chrome. The unit measures about 240 mm across and 50 mm high, weighs about 1 kg, or 1.3 kg with the bracket, and operates from 0 to 40 °C.
