SonySony TEOS Room Sensors – TES-5DO, TES-5MRO and TES-10MRC
Sony's TEOS room sensors are LoRaWAN devices that report occupancy and comfort readings to Manage for TEOS through The Things Network. The range has three models: the TES-5DO desk sensor, the TES-5MRO occupancy sensor and the TES-10MRC comfort sensor, which adds CO2, sound and light. Procure.ae supplies the Sony TEOS sensors across the UAE as an authorised reseller.
All three sensors use LoRaWAN Class A and send data through a LoRa gateway to The Things Network, which Sony does not supply. The TES-5DO desk sensor uses PIR data to determine desk occupancy and runs on two AA batteries for over five years. The TES-5MRO occupancy sensor measures temperature from -40 to +80 °C at 0.01 °C resolution and humidity from 0 to 100% RH, and runs for over 10 years. The TES-10MRC comfort sensor adds CO2 from 0 to 5000 ppm, sound from 35 to 99 dB and light from 4 to 4000 lux.
The sensors suit desks, meeting rooms and open-plan offices where occupancy and air-quality readings are needed. Integration with Manage for TEOS needs a TEM-BU10 licence for each sensor, which is not included. The desk sensor mounts with double-sided tape under the desk, and the occupancy and comfort sensors clip or tape to the ceiling. Procure.ae supplies Sony sensors in the UAE, and free training and support are available.
