The Sony BRC-X400 is a 4K IP PTZ camera for conference rooms, classrooms and live streaming setups. It offers 30x optical zoom with clear image zoom, 4K UHD output over HDMI, and NDI|HX capability with an optional licence. Procure.ae supplies the Sony BRC-X400 across the UAE.
The BRC-X400 uses a 1/2.5-type Exmor R CMOS sensor with approximately 8.5 megapixels effective and a 30x optical zoom. It offers 30x zoom at 4K with clear image zoom, 40x at HD, and up to 80x at HD with tele convert. Its HDMI output and IP stream reach 3840 x 2160, with a maximum of 60 fps in H.264 and H.265. Pan runs ±170 degrees and tilt from +90 to -20 degrees, with maximum pan and tilt speeds of 300 and 126 degrees per second.
The BRC-X400 suits rooms where one camera feeds a video conferencing platform, a recorder and a network stream at the same time. It supports three multi-streams to up to five clients, and audio is embedded in both the baseband video and the IP stream. It accepts VISCA RS-422 and VISCA over IP control, and its RJ-45 ports include S700PTP. It runs on DC 12 V or PoE+ and mounts to a ceiling with the supplied brackets.

Does the Sony BRC-X400 support 4K?
Yes. The BRC-X400 outputs 4K UHD at 29.97p, 25p and 23.98p over HDMI and as an IP stream. Its 3G-SDI and HD outputs cover 1080p and 720p. The camera also supports 4K IP streaming at up to 3840 x 2160 for network workflows.
Do I need a licence for NDI|HX?
Yes. NDI|HX capability requires a licence that is sold separately from the camera, so include it in the order for NDI workflows. Procure.ae can advise on licence details before the order is placed, so the NDI workflow is ready at installation.
How many streams and clients does the BRC-X400 support?
It supports three multi-streams and up to five clients at the same time. IP video reaches 3840 x 2160 at a maximum of 60 fps in H.264 and H.265, with a bitrate range of 512 kbps to 50 Mbps.
Can the BRC-X400 be controlled by a control system?
Yes. It supports VISCA over IP and VISCA RS-422, plus S700PTP on its RJ-45 port and IR remote control. Up to 256 preset positions are available over CGI, or 100 over VISCA.
How is the BRC-X400 mounted and powered?
