Panasonic 4K 12x Optical Zoom PTZ Camera – AW-UE20

The Panasonic AW-UE20 is a compact 4K PTZ camera with 12x optical zoom and a 71-degree wide-end horizontal view, for meeting rooms, huddle spaces and online classes. The AW-UE20 uses a 1/2.8-type 4K MOS sensor with about 8.46 million effective pixels and a motorised 12x optical zoom lens (f=3.9 mm to 46.8 mm, 35 mm equivalent 26.4 mm to 316.4 mm). Its horizontal angle of view runs from 71.0° at wide to 6.0° at tele. It outputs up to 4K 30p/25p video at 3840 x 2160 through HDMI, 3G-SDI and IP, and it can stream 4K over IP in H.264 and MJPEG modes. Pan is ±170°, tilt runs from -30° to 90°, and pan and tilt speed is adjustable.

The camera can be placed on a desk or suspended from a ceiling. With the PTZ Virtual USB driver and a LAN connection, it provides video and audio in the same way as a USB camera, and the manufacturer states that this also works with video platforms including Panopto. A single PoE+ cable carries power, control and video. RTMP and RTMPS stream directly to live broadcasting services, and Panasonic remote controllers and PTZ Control Center software can operate the camera.
