NearityNearity Linear Array Microphone – A40
The Nearity A40 is a linear array microphone for video conferencing, with a 24-element MEMS array and an effective pickup range of 8 m x 8 m (26.2 ft x 26.2 ft). It is powered over Ethernet, supports up to eight daisy-chained units, and mounts by suspension, wall or desktop bracket. Procure.ae supplies the Nearity A40 across the UAE.
The A40 uses a 24 MEMS microphone array with 8 deep sidelobe beamforming and adaptive pickup beams. The manufacturer lists a sensitivity of -38 dBV/Pa (94 dB SPL at 1 kHz) and a signal-to-noise ratio of 63 dBV/Pa (94 dB SPL at 1 kHz, A-weighted). Processing includes AI noise suppression, full-duplex operation, echo cancellation, automatic gain control (AGC) and intelligent audio mixing. The effective pickup range is 8 m x 8 m (26.2 ft x 26.2 ft).
The A40 suits meeting rooms, boardrooms and video conferencing spaces. It is powered over PoE through a CAT6 UTP cable, with two RJ45 Ethernet ports and up to 8 units daisy-chained. Mounting options are suspended, wall or desktop bracket, and the unit is 351.4 mm long. Compared with the Nearity A50, the A40 has a 24-element array against 91 MEMS microphones, and an 8 m x 8 m pickup range against 10 m x 10 m.
