The InFocus INF8511 is a discontinued interactive display with an embedded PC, three HDMI inputs, a DisplayPort input and picture-in-picture viewing. What audio sources can the InFocus INF8511 select?
The Audio menu lists HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, DisplayPort, PCSpeaker, Mondopad, Audio 1 and Audio 2. The Speaker setting chooses between Internal, where internal and external speakers both play, and External, where only external speakers play.
Does the INF8511 have an embedded PC?
Yes. The hardware guide says the Home button on the remote changes the active source back to the embedded PC. It also references Mondopad in the audio source list. The guide excerpt does not give the PC's processor, memory or operating system.
Can the INF8511 use a wireless keypad and mouse?
Yes. The troubleshooting section describes a keypad and mouse that connect through a USB adapter plugged into the display's USB port. If they stop working, check the batteries, press the Connect button on the keypad and make sure Keyboard Control is set to Unlock in the Advanced Option menu.
Can the INF8511 show two sources at once?
Yes. Picture-in-picture is controlled from the remote with PiP On/Off, Input, Swap, Position and Audio buttons. Layouts include corner and side-by-side at 50% resized, 25% resized and 50% full screen, depending on source types. A secondary source must be selected for the PiP window to appear.
Why is there no sound from the INF8511 over HDMI?
The guide states that an HDMI 1.3 or higher source and source device is required to hear audio through the HDMI cable. Also check that the Speaker setting matches the speakers in use, that the volume is up and not muted, and that external speakers are powered on.
