The CDE9831-1C uses a 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) TFT LCD panel with DLED backlight, 500 nits brightness and an 8 ms response time. Its 1,200:1 typical contrast ratio rises to 5,000:1 with DCR enabled, and viewing angles are 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. A quad-core processor with 8 GB RAM and 32 GB storage runs Android 14, which can be upgraded to Android 16. Two 16 W built-in speakers and 3.5 mm audio in and out support presentations and announcements in large rooms.
The 98-inch format suits large meeting rooms, lobbies, retail walls and education spaces, in landscape or portrait orientation. The display mounts on an 800 x 400 mm VESA pattern, which differs from the 600 x 400 mm pattern of the 86-inch CDE8631-1C. ViewSonic Manager provides centralised remote control, and the display integrates with leading Pro AV control systems through its RS-232, SPDIF and RJ45 ports.
