NEC MultiSync 55-inch 4K UHD PCAP Interactive Flat Panel – M551 PCAP
The NEC MultiSync M551 PCAP is a 55-inch 4K UHD interactive flat panel with projected capacitive touch for up to 20 simultaneous touches. It has an IPS panel rated at 500 nits, 24/7 operation, and DisplayPort and HDMI inputs. It suits meeting rooms and classrooms, and Procure.ae supplies it across the UAE.
The NEC MultiSync M551 PCAP combines a 55-inch IPS panel with edge LED backlighting at a native 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution. Brightness is 500 nits, contrast is above 8,000:1, response time is 8 ms and the refresh rate is 60 Hz, with 178-degree viewing angles. Projected capacitive touch tracks up to 20 touches from a finger or conductive passive stylus with ±1.5 mm accuracy, behind a 6H-hardness edge-to-edge flush glass front rated for 24/7 operation.
The M551 PCAP takes one DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs, with LAN, RS-232 and a remote-control jack for control. It accepts Intel Smart Display Modules (Large and Small, up to 66 W) and has a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 slot, and touch works with Windows, Linux, Android and Raspberry Pi over USB-HID. It manages through PJLink, SNMP, HTTP browser and NaViSet Administrator 2, and mounts on a 300 x 300 mm VESA (FDMI) pattern.

Questions
Can’t find your answer? Ask on WhatsApp
What touch technology does the NEC MultiSync M551 PCAP use?
It uses projected capacitive (PCAP) touch with real multi-touch for up to 20 touches. Input comes from a finger or a conductive passive stylus, with ±1.5 mm accuracy and a 6H-hardness surface. Touch data is sent over USB-HID. The manufacturer's specifications state that Windows Ink and palm rejection are not supported.
What resolution and video inputs does the M551 PCAP have?
The native resolution is 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) at 60 Hz. Video inputs are one DisplayPort and two HDMI, all with HDCP, plus a USB 2.0 port for the built-in media player. Control interfaces are LAN 100 Mbit, RS-232 and a 3.5 mm remote-control jack, and audio out is a 3.5 mm analogue jack.
Which operating systems work with the M551 PCAP touch?
The manufacturer lists Windows, Linux, Android and Raspberry Pi as supported operating systems for touch. The display reports touch over USB-HID, so a connected computer or compute module handles the touch input. Confirm your exact setup with Procure.ae when requesting a quote.
Can the M551 PCAP take a built-in computer?
Yes. The manufacturer specifies a slot for Intel Smart Display Modules (Large and Small, up to 66 W) and a slot for a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. The modules are optional parts, so confirm the combination you need with Procure.ae when requesting a quote.
How is the M551 PCAP mounted?
It has a 300 x 300 mm VESA (FDMI) pattern with four M6 holes. It measures 1,275.8 x 746.8 x 67.8 mm and weighs 36.4 kg, so choose a wall mount or trolley rated for that weight. Procure.ae can arrange delivery and installation across the UAE.
