The Nearity A20 SpeakerMic (manual model AW-A20) combines eight MEMS microphones, beamforming and noise suppression with echo cancellation, reverberation suppression and automatic gain control for full-duplex calls. Voices are picked up within 5 m (16 ft). The built-in speaker covers 155 Hz to 16 kHz with a rated output of 1.5 W at 4 Ω. Noise reduction, de-reverberation and echo cancellation parameters can be adjusted to suit each room.
Up to five A20 units can be daisy-chained over Cat6 UTP RJ45 with PoE to cover larger rooms, and the manual shows the previous unit in the chain can also be a Nearity C30R. A unit connects to a computer through USB 2.0 Type-C and is powered by a DC 48 V / 0.6 A adapter or USB 5 V / 0.5 A. It works with Windows, macOS and Linux and is listed as a legacy model.
