The TASKalfa 2551ci has been designed to meet the demands of ambitious work groups with high expectations concerning the functionality and quality of their office equipment. Reliable and user-friendly, it provides you with all the capabilities you need to maximise the efficiency of your team’s document management. The renowned long-life components incorporated in these devices make them exceptionally reliable and reduce the downtime to an absolute minimum.

This device offers you all the functions you can expect from a sophisticated MFP. It prints up to 25 pages per minute in exceptional colour and monochrome quality. It also copies and scans documents of A6–A3 and can be supplemented with a fax function. All these functions can quickly and easily be accessed via the large touch screen with an intuitive menu structure. Moreover, the various paper handling and finishing options allow you to increase the standard paper capacity of 1,100 sheets to 4,100 sheets. In addition, you can have your documents stapled and punched by the 1,000-sheet finisher.

It also works if you use ordinary business applications like Document Management Systems (DMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). It is quick and easy to set up, and can be configured directly from the control panel of the device.

To save your data from potential security risks, we equipped the TASKalfa 2551ci with IPsec and PDF encryption functionality as standard. There are helpful security features that you may add to your MFP to ensure that your most sensitive data is safe. One of them is the Data Security Kit, which effectively deletes and overwrites all data stored on the hard disk, thereby making it impossible to reconstruct the files. Another convenient way to prevent unauthorised access of the data is the Card Authentication function. With this function, all users have to identify themselves with their card before being allowed to use the device.

The TASKalfa 2551ci renders the digitising process as easy as it can possibly get. You can select whether you want to scan the document to a server, an email address, a folder or a USB device via the control panel. You can choose the file format (PDF, JPEG, TIFF or XPS) and opt for the almost lossless compression of your data. The 175-sheet one-path duplex document processor carries out the scanning task at an amazing rate of up to 100 ipm. The optional OCR technology turns scanned documents into text documents. This not only allows you to search the scanned document; you can also edit and share it. Another very convenient feature of this device is that it scans documents down to A6 format.

You can access all settings for printing, copying and scanning as well as the optional fax function from the new colour touch panel. The large size of the panel and its movability ensure that your employees can easily select the functions they want to use. The panel features:

The device also comes with up to 6 selectable colour tables for you to define the colours that match those of your corporate design or those produced by other printers in your business.
