InFocus LightCast Wireless Presentation Module – INLIGHTCAST

The InFocus LightCast (INLIGHTCAST) is a wireless presentation module that mirrors Android and Apple device screens to a display or projector over HDMI. The InFocus LightCast module lets users mirror a device screen wirelessly onto a projector screen or display, with native casting from Android and Apple devices. The manufacturer states that no software needs to be installed, so users inside or outside an organisation can present within seconds. It runs Android 4.4 on a quad-core Cortex-A9r4 processor at 2.0 GHz and supports AirPlay, Miracast and the LightCast app.

Hardware connections include an HDMI cable to an input on the display, an RJ45 network port or a wireless network connection, SD, SDHC and MMC card support, and two USB 2.0 host connectors with a maximum output of 1.5 A at 5 V. A USB-A to USB-B connection to an InFocus touch display allows touch gestures; otherwise a keyboard and mouse can be attached. The module also provides a web browser, Bluetooth setup and BigNote, an on-screen whiteboard for drawing, text and images that can be saved, emailed or printed.
