eZon USB 3.x Gen2 Active Optical Cable, 10Gbps

The eZon USB 3.x Gen2 active optical cable is a 10Gbps, plenum-rated USB extension cable available from Procure.ae in the UAE.

This is a USB 3.x Gen2 active optical cable (AOC) that carries USB signal at up to 10Gbps over distances well beyond what a standard copper USB cable can reach. It uses directional USB-A connectors, a blue-shelled connector for the host/computer end and a white-shelled connector for the client/device end, with active optical circuitry built into the connector housings and no external power supply needed. It also carries a plenum rating, giving it a smaller cable diameter suited to routing through air-handling spaces.

It is used to extend high-speed USB 3.x connections, such as cameras, capture devices, storage or AV control interfaces, well beyond the roughly 3-5m practical limit of passive copper USB cables, in control rooms, AV racks, broadcast setups and data centres. It is supplied in 10m and 15m lengths for UAE and GCC AV and IT integration projects that need long-distance USB links without adding a network-based extender.
