The Symbol LI2208 handheld single-line barcode scanner is black, comes with a stand and a USB cable, and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. The barcode reader can be held in the hand or placed in the stand for fixed position use. A 617-nanometer (nm) laser produces a single line of light that can scan barcodes on a label or cell phone screen from up to 30" away at a resolution of 13 mm and a speed of up to 547 scans per second in continuous mode. The barcode reader's USB cable plugs into the USB port of a computer or another host system (sold separately) to transmit barcode data and power the barcode reader. The barcode reader contains a single circuit board to reduce points of failure. This product weighs 4.95 oz. and measures 6.3 x 2.64 x 3.9 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It can withstand drops of up to 6' on a concrete floor. The barcode reader is suitable for use with Symbol 123Scan and Scanner Management Service (SMS) software (available separately for download).
