sony-vision-exchange-wireless-presentation-system-peq-c130
Sony Vision Exchange Wireless Presentation System – PEQ-C130

The Sony Vision Exchange PEQ-C130 is a wireless presentation and active learning system for classrooms, lecture halls and meeting rooms. It takes four HDMI inputs, mirrors laptops, tablets and smartphones over Wi-Fi, and adds annotation, whiteboard and snapshot tools. Sony has discontinued it; Procure.ae can confirm availability or suggest a current alternative in the UAE.

The PEQ-C130 main unit measures 370 x 56 x 245 mm and weighs approx. 3.4 kg. It provides four HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, one DisplayPort output, a microphone mini-jack, line input and line output, two 1000BASE-T network ports, two front USB 2.0 ports and four rear USB 3.0 ports. Up to six devices can mirror wirelessly, and presenters switch content by drag and drop from a touch panel, a web browser (Chrome or Safari) or a mouse.

Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, macOS, iOS 12 and Android devices can mirror to the system, and Skype for Business and Zoom are integrated for remote participants. Optional licences add Active Learning, which shares content to table displays when each runs Sony Pod PC software on a Mini PC, and Streaming Output for lecture capture. HDCP content cannot be shared to workgroup screens or streamed. Compared with the PEQ-C100, the PEQ-C130 offers four HDMI inputs instead of two.

Control and management stay simple: the system is operated from a touch panel, a web browser or a mouse, and a USB touch display can be added alongside the HDMI or DisplayPort video connection. The system supports up to 10 table groups with six wireless devices each, though performance can drop when many functions run at once. It suits teaching spaces and meeting rooms where content moves between lecturer, students and remote sites. As a discontinued model it should be checked with Procure.ae for availability or a current successor.

Key Features

Four HDMI inputs - Takes four HDMI sources for wired content; the PEQ-C100 offers two.

Wireless mirroring - Up to six devices can mirror at once, depending on content.

Drag-and-drop control - Content is switched from a touch panel, a web browser (Chrome or Safari) or a wired or wireless mouse.

Annotation and whiteboard - Presenters draw on screen or open a whiteboard with digital tags.

Snapshot and download - The main view can be saved and downloaded to connected devices or a USB memory in the main unit.

Personal Note Taker - Students capture main-screen content, annotate it and store it on their own devices.

Remote communication - Skype for Business and Zoom are integrated for remote participants.

Optional licences - Active Learning supports up to 10 groups, and Streaming Output sends the main view to a server.

Ideal for: universities and colleges, active learning classrooms, corporate conference rooms and lecture halls with several wired sources, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider GCC.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many HDMI inputs does the Sony PEQ-C130 have?

It has four HDMI inputs, one HDMI output and one DisplayPort output.
