Snom SP800 IP Desk Phone Terminal for VDI Environments

The Snom SP800 is an IP desk phone terminal that Procure.ae supplies to UAE businesses running centralised, thin client or virtual desktop (VDI) infrastructure.

Unlike a standard SIP desk phone, the SP800 is built to sit alongside a thin client or virtual desktop session and be controlled through a soft client rather than as a standalone dialler. It carries 8 SIP identities, LDAP directory integration and TLS/SRTP encryption for signalling and media, plus two USB 2.0 ports and PoE power for a tidy, single-cable desk setup.

It is aimed at organisations running Citrix, VMware or remote desktop server (RDS) environments, such as government offices, financial institutions and enterprises consolidating desktop infrastructure in the UAE and GCC. Because it integrates with soft-client control rather than a phone-only interface, IT teams can manage it centrally alongside the rest of a virtualised desktop estate.
