When connected, it overrides the built-in sensor, and its 182.88 cm (72-inch) cable lets it sit where the light reading is more representative. Outdoor installers use it where the built-in sensor is shaded, and Procure.ae supplies it across the UAE.

The ALS Extender adjusts display brightness automatically to match ambient lighting conditions. When it is connected, it overrides the built-in ambient light sensor. This helps where the built-in sensor may be shaded by surrounding structures or vegetation. The extender can be placed in a location that better reflects the actual ambient light. It has a 182.88 cm (72-inch) cable and a 1-year limited warranty, and it ships with instructions.

The extender is compatible with Peerless-AV Xtreme High Bright outdoor displays (XHB554, XHB653 and XHB754), outdoor digital menu boards (KOF555-1, KOF555-2 and KOF555-3) and smart city kiosks (KOP55XHB, KOP55XHB-S, KOP55XHB2 and KOP55XHB2-S). It suits outdoor signage, outdoor menu boards and kiosks where ambient light readings need to come from a better position than the built-in sensor. The manufacturer lists display enclosures, kiosks and LCD displays as its applications.

Key Features

Overrides built-in sensor - When connected, the extender overrides the display's built-in ambient light sensor.

Remote light sensing - The extender can be placed where it better reflects actual ambient light conditions.

72-inch cable - Cable length is 182.88 cm (72 inches).

Compatible outdoor models - Works with XHB554, XHB653, XHB754, KOF555-1/-2/-3, KOP55XHB(-S) and KOP55XHB2(-S).

1-year limited warranty - The manufacturer lists a 1-year limited warranty.

Ideal for: outdoor digital signage, outdoor digital menu boards, smart city kiosks, outdoor displays shaded by buildings or trees, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider GCC.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ACCD-ALS do?

It automatically adjusts display brightness to ambient light conditions.
