NEC MultiSync X Series 98-inch Interactive Flat Panel – X981UHD SST

The NEC X981UHD SST is a 98-inch 4K UHD interactive flat panel with ShadowSense touch for up to 12 real touches. It offers 500 nits maximum brightness and a 1,300:1 typical contrast ratio, and the manufacturer positions it for large-sized meeting rooms. The model is discontinued, so Procure.ae can confirm its current availability in the UAE.

ShadowSense touch works with a finger, a glove or a stylus of 4 mm or more, and reports up to 12 real touches with an accuracy of less than 2 mm. The 3840 x 2160 S-IPS panel uses a direct LED backlight, runs at 60 Hz, and offers 500 nits maximum brightness, a 1,300:1 typical contrast ratio and 8 ms typical grey-to-grey response. Integrated ambient light and temperature sensors trigger programmable actions, and integrated 10 W + 10 W speakers are built in.

The X981UHD SST suits large-sized meeting rooms and CAD/CAM or large-data visualisation. Native multi-touch works with Windows 7-11, Linux and Android, and a default mouse works with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS. It is controlled over 100 Mbit LAN with SNMP, over RS-232C or with an infrared remote, and its Intel OPS slot takes a digital signage player or slot-in PC. Compared with the 84-inch X841UHD SST, it supports 12 touches instead of 10 and weighs 150 kg instead of 110 kg without stand.
