Environmentally responsible

While the lightweight chassis is so convenient to carry around, it’s the sustainable materials that make owning this machine a true delight. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 laptop is composed of 90% recycled magnesium on the C frame, and for the Storm Grey models, there’s 55% recycled aluminum on the D cover. Along with post-consumer content, recycled plastic in the enclosures for the speaker and battery, and the AC adapter, the packaging is plastic-free with 90% recycled and/or sustainable materials. Plus, the manufacturing process uses low-temperature soldering.

If you spend hours on your laptop every day, you’ll need one that’s easy on the eyes. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 boasts a number of display options, ranging from a gorgeous 2.8K OLED with Dolby Vision^® panel to lower resolution choices that offer touchscreens, PrivacyGuard, and various color gamuts. Plus, most of the displays feature low blue light certifications to help prevent eye fatigue. And with narrower bezels and a high screen-to-body ratio, everyone’s sure to appreciate the added screen real estate on this device.

When you’re out on the road, you never know what the connectivity situation will be, or whether you’ll find an available electrical outlet. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 laptop definitely keeps you covered in both regards! Lightning-quick WiFi keeps you online when wireless coverage is available—but if you’re out of range, you can also jump online just like a smartphone when you choose the WWAN* configuration. What’s more, with the option of two battery sizes and rapid-charging technology, there’s little need to be tethered to an outlet. Military-grade durability

We use the US Department of Defense's MIL-STD 810H standards to create a balance of reliability and durability for our ThinkPad laptops. We test against 12 standards and more than 200 quality checks to ensure they run in extreme conditions. These tests cover harsh variables like Arctic wilderness and desert dust storms, including temperature, pressure, humidity, vibration, and more.
