The DS-6904UDI(C) drives four HDMI 1.4 outputs, each up to 4K (3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz), plus one CVBS BNC output. It decodes 32 channels of 1080p or 64 channels of 720p in real time in H.264 and H.265, and it can show 32 channels of 2 MP video on the wall at the same time. Outputs 1 to 4 form a group that shares decoding capacity. Audio decodes from G.711, G.722.1, G.726, AAC and PCM sources and reaches the outputs as embedded HDMI audio or DB15-to-BNC audio.

The decoder accepts network cameras, NVRs and other network sources, plus HDMI input from computers and video conference terminals. It supports rotate-mode decoding for camera video up to 2560 × 1440 and can encode one 4K@30 Hz or two 1080p@60 Hz channels. Connectivity includes two network ports (one RJ-45 and one optical 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X), RS-232, RS-485 and two USB 2.0 ports.
