It offers YUV 4:4:4 image quality, an HDMI loop output and a 2-inch status screen. It suits video wall feeds and control room sources that need network redundancy. Procure.ae supplies it in the UAE.

The DSMS0115EPI-4K accepts one HDMI 2.0 or one DisplayPort 1.2 source and supports 4K@60 real-time acquisition and encoding. The manufacturer describes its image quality as YUV 4:4:4 lossless. It supports TCP/IP, RTP, RTSP, HTTP, UDP, DHCP and NTP, and provides an HDMI 2.0 loop output that keeps the looped signal running if the device loses power. Two audio inputs and an audio output are included, along with a 3.5 mm earphone jack.

The encoder is intended for distributed systems that feed decoders at video walls or control positions. Its 1000M RJ-45 and 1000M SFP ports support hot-backup redundancy, and it can be powered from PoE or 12 VDC at the same time. Three USB ports provide keyboard, mouse and USB pass-through, and the unit can overlay Chinese and English subtitles and time information on the source signal. It measures 190 x 44 x 130 mm and weighs 0.98 kg.

Key Features

4K@60 acquisition - Captures and encodes 4K@60 video in real time with H.265.

YUV 4:4:4 image quality - The manufacturer describes the encoding as YUV 4:4:4 lossless image quality.

Loop output - A 1-channel HDMI 2.0 loop output keeps the signal running if power is lost.

Network redundancy - The RJ-45 and SFP ports can be used simultaneously for hot-backup redundancy.

Dual power input - Supports redundant power from PoE and a 12 VDC adapter.

On-input overlays - Overlays Chinese and English subtitles and time information, with cropping of the source area.

USB pass-through - Three USB ports support keyboard and mouse control and USB pass-through.

2-inch status screen - Shows the device name and IP address on the front panel.

Ideal for: video wall feeds, control room sources, distributed AV systems, campus AV, and corporate presentation systems, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider GCC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the DSMS0115EPI-4K support 4K@60 video?

Yes. It supports 4K@60 real-time acquisition and encoding with H.265. It accepts one HDMI 2.0 or one DisplayPort 1.2 input, so a 4K@60 source can be encoded and sent across the network.

Can the DSMS0115EPI-4K be powered by PoE?

Yes. It can be powered by PoE or a 12 VDC adapter, and the manufacturer states that both can be connected together for power redundancy. The power consumption is 24 W maximum. Dual supplies therefore give the encoder a backup power path.

Does the DSMS0115EPI-4K keep a loop output running during a power loss?

Yes. The manufacturer states that the HDMI loop output remains unaffected if the device loses power, so the local display keeps receiving the source during a power outage at the device.

Does the DSMS0115EPI-4K support network redundancy?

Yes. It has a 1000M RJ-45 port and a 1000M SFP optical port, both of which can be used simultaneously. Disconnecting either interface does not affect network connectivity, and both can run at the same time for redundancy.

Can I buy the DSMS0115EPI-4K in the UAE?

Yes.
