The Fluke FLK-050-CLKT is a 2-inch (50mm) viewing aperture calcium fluoride (CaF2) IR window designed for permanent installation in the doors of LV switchgear panels, motor control centres (MCCs), distribution boards, and transformer cabinets. An IR inspection window allows a thermographer to point a thermal camera at the window aperture from outside the panel door and view the thermal image of the live components inside — without opening the door, removing covers, or exposing the thermographer to an arc-flash incident energy zone. NFPA 70E and IEC 62271 arc-flash safety standards require that energised electrical work (including opening energised switchgear doors for thermographic inspection) be performed with full PPE at the calculated incident energy level. IR windows allow thermographic predictive maintenance surveys to be conducted on energised switchgear with the door closed — eliminating the arc-flash exposure risk entirely. The C-Range crystal transmits the full IR spectrum range required by thermal cameras, and the rugged stainless steel frame and tamper-resistant fixing design ensure permanent reliable installation.
