The Fluke 355 True-RMS 2000A Clamp Meter is a large-jaw, high-capacity professional clamp meter for measuring up to 2000A AC on heavy cables and busbar conductors in industrial and commercial electrical systems across the UAE.
The Fluke 355 is the highest-capacity clamp meter in Fluke's 350 series, rated to 2000A AC True-RMS — designed for engineers and electricians working on main LV switchgear, large motor feeders, generator output cables, data centre busways, and high-current distribution systems where standard 400A or 600A clamp meters cannot reach the full load current range. The 58mm jaw opening accommodates large single-core power cables, busbar conductors, and medium-voltage cable terminations that a standard 30mm jaw clamp cannot reach. True-RMS current measurement delivers accurate readings on the distorted waveforms produced by large VFD-driven motors and other non-linear loads. The built-in low-pass filter (LPF) mode enables accurate fundamental frequency current measurement on VFD output cables that would otherwise produce erroneous high-frequency inflated readings on non-LPF meters.

Why do I need a 2000A clamp meter if my main breaker is rated less than 2000A?
Current ratings on breakers are maximum ratings — actual measured full-load current may approach or briefly exceed this under normal conditions. More importantly, clamp meters should be selected so that the measured value falls in the upper half of the measurement range for best accuracy. If your circuit can carry currents up to 1600A, a 2000A meter keeps measurements in a comfortable range while the 600A Fluke 373 would be out-of-range.
