The BSS Audio BLU-GPX is a general purpose input/output expander designed for use within BSS Audio Soundweb London BLU link systems, specifically in applications where EN 54-16 life safety compliance is required. It provides 8 GPI (general purpose input) and 8 GPO (general purpose output) ports for connecting external control devices — fire panels, emergency trigger switches, relay modules, and monitoring systems — directly into the Soundweb London DSP network. EN 54-16 certification confirms that the device has been tested and approved for use in voice alarm and emergency voice alarm (EVAC) systems in commercial buildings, airports, hospitals, and public venues. The BLU-GPX integrates directly with the BLU link audio network via a single Cat5 cable connection.
