The ODLF-721 uses an RGB laser light source with DLP rear-projection technology. The manufacturer states that it provides twice the brightness of mainstream LED-lit rear-projection video walls, so control rooms can operate under daylight conditions. Sense X automatic calibration keeps colour stable over time, and the laser banks, power supply drivers, input signal and external power supply are all redundant. The light source is rated for more than 125,000 hours in normal and eco modes.

The ODLF-721 has two DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 2.0 inputs at 4K 60 Hz, with a DisplayPort output for loop-through, and it supports cropping and scaling for the wall configuration.
