An upgrade licence changes the entitlements of an already-active 3CX system rather than issuing a fresh activation: this SKU takes a system currently licensed for 4 simultaneous calls (SC) on the Standard tier and steps it up to 8SC on the Pro tier, adding the extra call capacity plus whatever additional features the Pro tier includes over Standard. It is the option to reach for when call volumes or feature needs outgrow the current licence before the annual term is due for renewal.

It typically suits small offices that have grown past their original 3CX sizing, or businesses that signed up on an entry tier and now need Pro-level features such as call queues, CRM integrations or video conferencing.
